Garda Vetting is available to those who work as a childminder in their own home through the Barnardos Vetting Service, which is a stand-alone service of Barnardos, based in Cork City.

You will be asked to complete a registration form which you need to return to Barnardos in order to start the vetting process. It is good practice for all adults living in the household and who come in to contact with children at various times of the day to also undergo Garda Vetting but it is not currently a legal requirements for them to do so.
